Our Mission
Glenolden Animal Hospital was established in 1981 as a satellite clinic to a well established Delaware county hospital. The hospital was purchased by the current administration in 2017.
After starting out as a one doctor practice we have grown significantly due to your support! Thirty eight years and thousands of patients later, Glenolden Animal Hospital has grown into a five doctor small animal/exotic practice. We have a dedicated staff of 20 well educated employees who are proud to care for our community’s pets. In addition to caring for pets, Glenolden Animal Hospital has given back to the community by participating in local events. We have participated in the Glenolden Days and the 4th of July celebration. We have raised money for local charities and talked in local schools about careers in veterinary medicine. We most recently were involved in Pets for Vets and the Last Chance fund which benefitted veterans and pets alike.
We would like to thank Glenolden and the southern Delco area for all your support. We are truly thankful for entrusting your pets care to our hospital. Glenolden Animal Hospital looks forward to continuing to be your veterinary hospital while maintaining a strong presence in the community.
The mission of Glenolden Animal Hospital is to provide compassionate veterinary care that fosters animal health and alleviates animal suffering. This goal is achieved through client education, preventative medicine, progressive surgery, advanced medical therapy, continuing education, and an extensive veterinary referral network. This foundation is supported by a well trained, dedicated and educated staff using the most modern veterinary technology. This level of veterinary care promotes happier healthier lives for our patients.
Hospital Appointment and Billing Policies
Glenolden Animal Hospital sees patients via scheduled appointments. We know everyone’s time is precious and we make every effort to see people in a timely fashion. However, we know that emergencies are not scheduled events. We make every effort to see all emergencies during our regular hours. We give priority to scheduled appointments when emergencies are not life threatening. We ask that clients understand these policies. We also ask scheduled clients to be patient when we are dealing with serious emergencies. We all want the best for all of our pets.
Glenolden Animal Hospital does no billing. Payment is expected at the time services are rendered. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Debit cards, and cash. For clients who qualify, we offer CareCredit, which is a line of credit for veterinary care. We suggest that all clients get a written estimate for the veterinary care that they are going to receive. To prevent confusion, we can only honor written estimates. All patients that are admitted to the hospital are required to leave a deposit of half of the estimate costs. The balance is to be paid when the animal goes home.
Glenolden Animal Hospital strongly recommends that pets are brought to the hospital by an owner who can answer any and all questions about the pet we are seeing. This is important in getting accurate information about the pet’s condition and in authorizing treatment.
